Davide Hodgson Lorente

/// Camera Operator / Editor  ///

/// Half English / Half Spanish  ///

From practising my contra-zoom on my Dads Sony handy-cam to now working in a professional outfit, I've always had a fascination with the process of film making.  Growing up in Spain, my love for moving images was developed in the open-air summer cinema in my hometown of Murcia where I would spend all my pocket money, watching two films every night, back-to-back. Since then I’ve worked behind the scenes on many films for a variety of companies.

As a filmmaker, I’ve learned to adapt to all kinds of situations: some tough, like caving with almost no space and no light. Some beautiful, like whale-watching in Australia. And some adrenaline fuelled like going on a police raid under the cover of night.

But like most situations, you don’t always have a lot of time to get what you need. I thrive in challenging situations and have honed my skills as a speedy Camera Operator and Editor. Working on all kinds of films, such as hand-drawn animations, documentaries, promotional films, music videos and many more.

I enjoy all parts of the production process and am a versatile worker, playing a variety of roles, depending on the needs of the team.

I own and operate a Canon C300 with sound and lighting. I can cut on both Premiere Pro (preferred) and Avid Media Composer. I am also a competent After Effects user.

Whatever your need, get in contact, and let me know how I can be of service!

Cameras I can work with:

Canon C300 MKI & MKII (Weapon of Choice) ///   Sony FS7/ F5 / F55  ///   Arri Amira /// Most DSLRs
